About us
Roll for initiative...
Moonshine Adventure Company was born after a weekend away playing Dungeons and Dragons with friends.
Walking through the beautiful medieval city of York, with stories of our party’s hijinks still fresh in our minds, we mused. Wouldn’t a TTRPG holiday set in a real location be fun? A D&D retreat about clerics in a ruined abbey? Pirates at the seaside beach holiday? Woodland creatures while camping in an ancient forest? Sci-fi in an abandoned bunker?
We both have young families and live in different cities, so finding the time to play TTRPGs in person is not easy. But when we do get together with our party, nothing else matters but whatever shenanigans we’re up to (and whatever chaos ensues). For us this time is sacred.
We want to share these two experiences: the wonder and imagination of an evocative location, together with the sanctuary of a holiday devoted to gaming.

Our values
-
Yes, and…
We take people at face value and empower them to play in their own way.
We know people play TTRPGs for different reasons, so we bounce off players rather than pushing our own idea of fun.
-
Roles not rules
The games systems we use are there to support player actions, not limit them.
We won’t tut at you if you forget which dice you’re rolling and we welcome serious and silly questions.
We love watching beginners learn and grow in confidence, and we relish the challenge when players creatively unravel our carefully laid plans!
-
Commit to the bit
We don't take ourselves too seriously, and we don’t let our dignity get in the way of a good story.
We create memorable characters and experiences for players to interact with.
We are enthusiastic fans of our players and our GMs and we want them to feel comfortable expressing themselves in their own way.
-
Welcome to the table
We’re here to help people build compelling stories together - but we know people need to feel safe and included first.
We remove barriers to participation and create a safe space for diverse parties to play together.
When we get it wrong, we listen and we learn.
